I hold my bow like a vice through the shot and if I don't it shows! so for me it doesn't! Mike

I don't know, most of the people I've seen that use a finger sling are recurve shooters that shoot from the web of their hand.I like to shoot longbows and especially Hill's.I hold the grip firm and heel, like carrying a suit case.I prefer a longbow grip whether it is straight, dish or a mild locator.I just never really cared for a recurve grip.So I don't see that a finger sling would help me,because I like the low grip and heel the bow.I guess it would depend on how you hold the bow,but I've seen longbows with recurve type grips so maybe.
