Supercharging the Grizzly Sitka
« on: February 16, 2009, 05:08:00 PM »
I have more than a good bit of respect for the members on this forum so I am throwing this up here for both information shared and questions to be asked by myself.

I was getting good penetration (acceptable) with the sitka shafts and was attempting to increase the weight, FOC and such to find that magic formula for penetration.
The simple FOC/Weight gimmicks were not showing any real results but then I found a real performance enhancer

Remember the AFC shafts?
Talk about the perfect weight tube for this particular design of shaft    :)

The penetration went through the roof and to say the least....I am very happy.

With this said, AFC is defunct and I am looking for suggestions on a similar shaft that might be used, when I run out of my present stock of AFC's.
The weight is 7.3gpi on the AFC2200 which is the perfect fit.
Presently, the inner AFC shaft is running 4.5" shorter than the taper shaft so hopefully this gives an idea of how it is fitting for those who need/want the visual.

Idea's?
Anyone got any old AFC/Maverick/SST shafts that that they want to sell?    :D
