If you plan on hunting go instinctive.Start close and take a step back now and then. Shoot at a spot size of a quarter. Read Fred Asbells book. It is quick and easy to learn this way, with the advantage when hunting of not having to do anything but pic a spot.

Snap nocks can have the same effect as brace height too low. They can grip the string enough to "pluck" at the end of the shot. It adds one more variable that's unnecessary. Complicates bare-shaft tuning, too. I'm referring to tight ones- a little grip doesn't hurt. If my nocks are too tight, I relieve them a bit with a very small round file.

I received the Anthony Camera book in the mail a couple days ago. From what I've read so far it seems very informative. The only negative thin I can say is that I wish it had color photos and was more sturdily put together.

It seems from talking to guys that instinctive shooters are convinced it's the best for hunting. How do you gap shooters feel about your technique for hunting? I feel pretty optimistic about it. As a compound shooter, I used a single pin, held over or under as needed, and got very good at range estimation +/- 1 yard. It worked very well for me, so I'm fairly confident. I'll try both for sure.
