"3-Under" = "Apache draw"?

Perusing our state's championship (3D) site, I noticed they referred to 3-Under as "Apache Draw".

I know it's semantics, but if this is the proper terminology, I'd prefer to give credit, where due.

Is this common knowledge in trad circles?  I'm admittedly a pseudo-newb.

Apache draw as a name for 3-under has been around a while.  Here's a link to a Bowhunters Encyclopedia, vintage 1992, using the term.

Actually,
It is not a proper term,as it is applied to the modern way of shooting.It is one of the methods used by certain bands of Apache,but not exactly the same.Apache used the thumb to augment the grip.Without a nock point on the string,it is near impossible to use 3 under the way it is used today.Also,to lable it,"The" Apache draw,is missleading.I have seen a pic,with 3 different Apache scouts,useing 3 different drawing techniques.All from the same band,and in the same pic.

shooting with 3 fingers under the nock point.  The majority of people shoot 3 fingers under or split fingers, which is one finger above the nock two below.

i heard 3 under called the Apache grip back in the 60's. It had to have some historical basis.
