"You've got to know when to hold 'em..."

Longbows need held...not "supported" like a compound.  You gotta H-O-L-D that sucker! lol

I've been getting to sneak a few shots the last couple days and way just about to ask for your all's advice because I knew I was missing something.

When I was last shooting a fair bit my groups were making improvements and my shots just felt good and the arrows zipped along nicely.  On this last go around I was getting arm slap, it have that good feel to it and arrows looked like they were on crack coming out of my bow.

Figured it was just the cost of putting the bow down for a couple months.

Yesterday I remembered to actually HOLD on the the longbow instead of cradling like the compound world ingrained in my head for so many years.

Ta-Daah!!!   All three problems fixed!

Ya got to know when to hold 'em
