Self Nocks

Im interested in making a dozen or so arrows with self nocks, but have no experience on the subject. The "How To" forum only had a page on making self nocks on river cane and im not looking in to that. If any one knows a place to go or could just show me how, that would be a great help.

Not much different from cane arrows.
Just jump ahead after the point where the cane is plugged. A plugged cane shaft is basically the same as a solid shaft. Exact same methods will work.
Couple links --
Ionians tonkin cane "how to" produces some unbelievable work:

Or here's a discussion, no photos, of using hacksaw, tile saw, etc...

The way I have done them is to use a very fine toothed cabinet saw to cut a notch down the center of the shaft. Just eye ball it, you well be able to get perfect center as the process goes along. Next I used a round diamond covered ceramic tile blade that fits into a standard hacksaw frame. Just use the first cut as a guide for the round blade go just a bit past the first cut. This is where we get the nock perfectly centered. Take a small mile file that will fit into the notch and open it up to fit your string. Just remove more material off witch ever side is thicker. I also have a small round file that use in the bottom of the grove to make sure that there is no slit from the first saw cut left. I also make the nock just a little loose because when I dip my shafts in sealer it will build up in the nocks. After the sealer is hardened check your nock fit if it is tight use a finger nail file to open it up for a perfect fit. Before I dip them though I wrap thread just below the nock for about a half inch. This well reinforce the nock. I have shot these from 65lb bows and never had a failure in 10 years of year round 3-d shooting.
