Form/Visual alignment references

Of all the informative posts regarding form and consistent this that and the other. Something crossed my mind when I was eyeballing how far pasted center a shelf was cut referencing the string down the center of the limb. I have never notice where the string referenced the center of the limb when I was at anchor. So I shot several sets conscoiusly putting my head in an alignment to verify that the string indeed was locating center limb before release. I'm certain this is no revelation but or so it appears my group tightened. The question is, have I been missing a critical function or element of proper shooting? Have I been turning my face away from the target to much? I've never seen it discussed.

Interesting Rusty. Never looked at where the string was...? Now you've given me something else to do to mess me up! haha  I'll check that. One thing, if I turn my head away from the target it messes up my anchor, doesn't allow me to come to full draw, and my nose gets in the way of the string...ouch!

Getting the arrow nock directly under my eye the thought crossed my mind, should I be looking through the string? Thats probably the way I should have posted this in the first place. I haven't desided if I'm sticking to, looking through the string, but I'm piddling with it

Hi Fella's. Ya know, I think you can overthink this stuff, and that's when it all starts going downhill. As regards string centering at full draw, as long as you are not gripping the riser, (torquing), and your bowhand fingers are away from the back of the riser, or just about touching it, then at full draw, the tension will automatically center the string. That's it.
