slick grip
« on: May 09, 2010, 05:26:00 PM »
I shoot with a bow quiver and I have noticed lately that my bow twist in my hand during follow through.  I figured this was causing a problem in some way with my accuracy.  I have noticed a new trend to stimpling the grip of bows in order to give a better grip on wooden recurves without leather grips.

I solved the problem with skateboard tape.  I put a very skiny strip down the belly of the grip.  Not only does this keep my bow from twisting from the bow quiver weight, but it adds to the consistancy of my grip.  My groups have improved.
