I use the hex heads, they are also really good for small game. alot of people use the judo points but i have trouble with them holding up. But they do make it easy finding them.

Judo points or rubber blunts.
If you go on line to Cabelas or 3rivers,you can find them.

I made this for squirrels. Works great for stumping too. The blunt end helps prevent it going too deep and the prongs keep it from going too far on a missed shot.

I like judo points the best, i use hex and also rubber blunts. Sometimes the rubber ones ricochet  and it can be tough to find the arrow. I also have had arrows break after a ricochet.

Judos work GREAT but they are EXPENSIVE!!!!!

Or.....You could use the "Poor Man's Judo Point" i.e. The "Wingnutter"!!!!! Take a 5/16" wingnut and hotmelt it on the tapered end of your wood arrows. The ears retard penetration, and they also "grab&flip" the missed arrows just like a Judo.
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

Judo points and blunts I don't think I have ever broke a judo mushroomed  the head a little on rocks but I'm surprised the beating that they will take.Usually they break just behind the head on wooden shafts and then they are lost. What breaks on yours Silvertip?

I have split 3 hex heads in half...I like the wicked 3 point heads from G5 they kinda pricey but they are tuff and hard to slide under leaves and make a wicked rabbit head...

I am going to give the Martin skip stopper a try. I used one last fall a little bit and liked it. I am going to get some and give em a work out.

Recurve...yes we do.  As you can see, there are many choices available.  Essentially any variation of a blunt will work.  I often just use the widely acclaimed "nutter" and it works well.  I think, in the end run, Judo points are the best bet.  They are not dirt cheap but not so bad.  The down side to them  (and their bigger brother the Kondor) are the prongs sticking out.  Although they help a lot in terms of keeping the arrow from burying under the grass and leaves, they also catch on grass and twigs etc when you are trying to make your shots more difficult, like shooting thru brush etc.

Lots of choices out there.

Judos or hex blunts.....I find judos skip and bury a little less, and the hex's are easier to get thru brush. Both are fine heads for stumping...

I like regular steel blunts. I always seem to break arrows right behind the head with hex heads.

Judos and rubber blunts for stumping...and judos and hexs for small gaming for the same reasons as Curt.

I too have broken a couple of arrows behind Judos, I may try some Hex Heads next time around. Otherwise I have been using gamenabbers which I use for small game.

Judos are good. But Ace Hex Heads are better. Shafts seems to hold up much longer using the hex heads over judos.
Someday you and I will take the Great Hart by our own skill alone, and with an arrow. And then the Little Gods of the Woods will chuckle and rub their hands and say, "Look, Brothers. An Archer! The Old Times are not altogether gone!"
