Thanks Rod and 3rivers
« on: July 28, 2010, 02:38:00 PM »
Hello all. I am very new in this game of traditional shooting and this is my first post. Last weekend 3rivers archery had Rod Jenkins put on a shooting clinic and i was lucky enough to attend. I just would like to thank Rod and 3rivers and recommend this clinic to young and old. Rod is great teacher and heck of a guy. Thanks again to both.

You were VERY smart to go to this EARLY in your experience BEFORE you develop and reinforced the bad habits we all get!

I agree with Steve.  You probably just saved yourself years of frustration that many of us have experienced by learning how to do it right from someone who knows, before you make problems for yourself.
I was originally self taught, since I did not know anyone who hunted with a recurve when I first started.  I did O.K. but I missed some VERY big bucks back in those days.  Shots that I wish I could have all over again now.  After years and years of this, I got help from Rick Welch and things have been great ever since!

I was also there and am really glad I did. I echo Jim's comments wholeheartedly.
TGMM-Family of the Bow

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow’s effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs
