tuning advice please

I just recived my test drive Black Widow PSA recurve. The bow is super sweet with 44lbs at my draw and just what I'm lookin for! Bow groups great and I shoot it well already. I have a small problem that is bothering me alittle. This demo bow is tillered for split finger and i shoot 3 under. My nock point is WAY high and still not pefect arrow flight yet. Left and right is good. Cant seem to get the nock high out of this bow no matter what I tried. The more I lower worse it gets and I have oriented the feathers in several differnt positions thinkin I could be catching the shelf and getting some bounce. nock point is alittle above a 1 inch on the Widow and on my tradtec titan I'm at 3/8 getting perfect flight.

Sorry post is long but I'm lookin for some suggestions cause I am in the market for a Widow for sure! thanks fellers!!!

I would start over..... at one inch it sounds like your arrows are bouncing off the shelf and giving you a false reading. Ive shot dozens of bows 3 under and all have been anout 5/8, tillered for three under or not. Your bow might be sensitive and it may have to be right on to give good flight.......might also try a stiffer shaft/increase brace height if you really feel you are getting shelf contact.

Maybe it's a good thing it's a test drive Widow.  Sounds like you've been shooting 3 under for a while, and know how to bare shaft tune.  I've tuned Widows and other bows for 3 under, some of which were made for 3 under and some of which were not.  I'm happy if I can get the bare shaft to fly straight with the nock point somewhere between 5/8" and 3/4".  For maybe 7 out of 8 bows, I can achieve that, whether the bows were made for 3 under or not.  There is the occasional bow that just won't tune for me for 3 under, and all I can say is, there are a lot of other bows out there, Widows and otherwise, that will tune just fine for 3 under.  I would imagine that if you wanted them to, the folks at Widow could re-tiller the bow to shoot 3 under.  Of course, then you would be obligated to buy the bow, I would think.  If you decide to go that route, you should ask them how much weight would be lost, if any, in the re-tillering process.

Thanks fellers! I realized my nocks are fitting too loose on the serving causing the arrow to "slip" down the string on release. I dont know why I just didnt tie a second nock point on to begin with and save me some headache!lol I started back out at 5/8 like I normally do with a new bow and tied a second nock point and the problem is going away. I have to find the sweet spot now and slowly move the nock down some and I think it will be golden.
I'm thinkin I will send this bow back and have one built on the same specs with different wood and have it tiller for 3 under. thanks for everybodys help.
