lonngg draw length
« on: December 06, 2010, 06:47:00 PM »
I just sold a bow to a young man with a 33" draw length!!I made this bow 64",42#@28".His draw length puts the weight at around 57#.I sent him home with a couple of full length 2317 aluminum arrows, told him to stick a 145gr. point in it and start there. Was I close to the right arrow? I have never even SEEN anyone with that draw length, let alone sell them a bow!He is 6'3",wing tip to wing tip 78".Oh man, could he shoot that bow!

When I shot split finger, my draw length was 32.25, now that I shoot three-under it's a hair under 32. Once I get nocks and points on a full length carbon shaft they are JUST long enough. I have to foot my wood arrows with a section of alum. shaft to get enough length.
