Form Master
« on: February 17, 2011, 02:12:00 PM »
Well I was curious about the device and being cheap made one for 10$.  this got me grommets and a setting tool at wally world, the rest was homemade engineering.  Well I've noticed me colapsing occasionally at release.  before when i would release I'd give a little bump back hand still touching my face.  When I tried the formaster on the first shot I nearly colapsed completely with it pulling my bow arm forward.  eventually I came around and started pulling through the shot, giving a solid holding finish.  When the formaster was removed and I shot my hand flew off my head and was over my shoulder 6" away from my face.  To quote steve carrell in Despicable Me, "llliiiigghhhtttbbbuuullbbb!"
I am going to keep working at this and report back.

It's a great devise but I don't use it as often as I should either. I should probably use it 2-3 times a week if not more just to stay in the right form.

Good luck.

I've been thinking about buying or making one of them for a while now.  Can you provide any info on how you made yours?

just picked up a set of brass grommets in the sewing isle at wally world and a tool to set them.  ran about 10$ then, in the same isle picked up a canvas bag originally meant to be bedazzled for 2$ and cut the stap off of it.  cut two small holes in said strap installed the grommet with the handy dandy tool then just find some rope, tie a knot and voila.  Way easy, took about 10 minutes and a trip to the local grocer.  I believe there is a build along somewhere if you want pictures. If your looking for my version I might build a second and post pictures if I can find my SD card converter thats gone missing.
