split vs three under tiller?
« on: May 17, 2011, 07:06:00 AM »
How much difference is there in the tiller of a split finger bow vs one that is tillered for three under?  I have seen some bows that I thought about purchasing but were tillered split and I shoot three under.  What are the differences?  Many thanks,  I have learned much from all of you and greatly appreciate it.

It really makes very little practical difference. I tune a new bow from scratch when I get it and really cant tell any real difference from the ones tillered for 3 under or not. (and thats 20 yrs and about 2 dozen bows)

Use this:   http://www.bowmaker.net/tuning.htm
Bowhunting is "KILL and EAT" not "Catch and Release".....Semper Fi!
