Here's my advice for what it's worth. If you are serious about shooting good at 3d. Stop standing at 20yds and shooting groups. get you some 3d targets or judos and go out everyday and shoot. Just one arrow at a target. go pull and look for another. Also if you know someone who consistantly wins the shoots you go to, make friends with him and watch what he's doing. I use to shoot a whole bunch everyday. Now I still try to shoot my little 3d course everyday if I can. I'm kinda the opposite of you. I started balls to the wall in 3d and now I'm more incline to get ready to hunt something. Ive watched every dvd thats out there. The Rick Welch method works good for me. When I say I watched them, I mean I wore them out. You can always learn something from anyone so keep an open mind. Sorry for the long winded post. I came in 3rd in recurve at the ibo trad worlds last year. I was happy but sad I did'nt shoot better the first round. Nerves will hurt alot of folks when they are at the top. You got to keep cool and shoot each shot like a one shot tournament. hope this helps and good luck. don

Plumber,

The IBO traditional world shoot is really no different than any other 3d shoot that you are already use to shooting.  Like mentioned above, spend more time shooting in unfamiliar locations rather than your bails in the back yard.

The guys that win these shoots on a regular basis have learned to shoot without adding any preassure to themselves...in other words, they just go through the course as relaxed as possible, just like they are while shooting the local 3d shoot with their buddies on the weekend.

You can shoot your first 20 targets with anybody you want on Sat....then for Sun. you will be grouped with 3 other shooters that shot about the same scores on Sat.(pier groups)

No matter how you shoot, I promise you will have a great time...pappys place is just one of those places that you have to visit.
