How to close my gap
« on: August 29, 2011, 02:23:00 PM »
Hello gentlemen. I have purchased a new bow. My arrow flight is great but I gap shoot and my gap is huge. about 3 feet at 15 and 20 yards. Are there any tricks on how to close your gap without changing your arrows? Different anchor?

Thank you

The biggest effect on your gap is where on your face you have the nock of the arrow.  If you are a split finger shooter, trying a different finger (like the middle or even ring finger at your normal point will help.  If this is not enough, three under may be your answer.  To reduce the gap, raise the arrow nock somehow.

A longer arrow will also reduce your gap. I would suggest trying 3 under if you are currently shooting split finger.

Caleb, these are dead on.

There's only a few ways to reduce that gap.

Switch to three under
Raise your nock point
Raise the weight of your arrow.
