I needed to shoot a few arrows and wind down this morning so I figured I might as well try to record a short video. Sorry about the off-center sideways video; it is from my phone placed on the hood of the car. I also don't know how to change it to be right side up. It looks OK if I turn my laptop on its side while its playing
What I've been working on as of late is getting my draw elbow down and inline with my bow arm, pulling through my release, and follow through (not dropping my bow arm).... by enlisting my back muscles.
I can try and get better video this weekend, but this is all I have for the moment. I don't know if this will be enough to tell anything
What caught me by surprise was the (almost) seamless transition from hitting my anchor and pulling through my release. When I'm shooting it really feels like (in my head) I hit my anchor, stop for a bit, then start to pull through the release. Watching the video it looks to be much more fluid than I originally thought it was. I shot these arrows all on my 3d target at 20yds and all flew very well, and into a very good group in the kill zone. I can tell when I tire and my release gets sloppy because my arrow flight suffers, but I didn't feel any of that with these shots and all felt pretty good.
If anything stands out from what you can see here please share. Thanks, Brad.
Excuse the tired and worn out look. I just finished up a busy 24hours shift and am a little on the sleepy side. Coffee and a dip isn't cutting it, looks like I'm gonna need a nap (grin)
