Shout out to Moebow!!!
« on: September 14, 2012, 09:20:00 AM »
Arne saw my thread on getting my strength back and  got in touch with me.  He is sending me a couple of the stretch bands used in some of his training methods to use to pull on and help get some muscle tone back in my arms and back.  Thank you so very much for your help Arne, as I see you as one that only helps others, all the time.

The ones referred to here are "thera band" physical therapy tubing.  They are REALLY good for form development and getting the correct movement and feel for the draw sequence.  You can get sore muscles from them when used correctly telling you that you are doing it right.  BUT, they are not meant for trying to really increase strength.

For that, there is no substitute for actually pulling the bow itself or using the "Bowfit" or "Bow trainer.  (Found in *********'s catalog and elsewhere.)  The "bowfit" comes in three strengths and I have one but don't really use it much as I find that the bow is a great substitute.
