Paper tuning split vs 3 under different results

Hi guys,
I have been waffling between split and 3 under. I can't seem to settle on one or the other. I started split then I went to 3 under (Rick welch style). Now I switch back and forth. I know not good.
So I was doing some paper tuning with 3 under I get a descent bullet a slight high Tear but acceptable.
With split I get a tail right tear (stiff)
This is done at about 6 ft. From paper.
Does split cause more paradox and do you think arrow spine could vary between the two styles

yes ,shooting three under requires a slightly more stiffer arrow and you maybe also getting a better release with three under . if i tune for three under i get bullet hole ,same arrow shot split will give me a small tear to the right of about 3/4" .
