Why cheek is sore/bleeding?

My cheek is so sore and raw its bleeding. It really makes shooting uncomfortable. What I am doing to make this happen? Thank you.

I'd suggest that you are drawing too far back and using too much arm and not enough bone structure.  If you line up your bones to support the bow weight, the string should NOT move along any skin but leave (at release) straight out from your face

Just a guess, need to see what you are doing = video?

Not sure what causes the problem, but it happens to me whenever I use a cardovan or heavy leather tab or glove.

Do not know why, but if I use a really thin leather glove it doesn't happen.

I went thru something similar using a tab, either the string or tab(?) was striking across where the right-side of my moustache would be(if I had one!). But I can shoot either of my gloves: a Damascus, or my thicker nylon fingered Bearpaw, and my release is clean with none of that touch anywhere. You'll work thru this and find what's right for you.

I had one of those super tabs and it kept slapping my face so I got rid of it and stayed with gloves it was fine,,,,, if not make sure your not looking too far to the side you need to have that head turned so the string clears it

If I get tired and start collapsing on the release I'll rub my cheek.  If I focus on pulling through it never happens.

Thanks for the help. I was over drawing and turning my face into string. No more bleeding.

Like NBK, I find that properly pulling through the shot eliminates the problem.
