Can someone help me out here ?

I have just ordered a bow from Mike Mcreedy at Maddog archery, really excited about my bow,
 I have ordered a 47 pound at 29.5 inches, I want to get some arrows with it.
So I want to buy the Goldtip traditional 5575/400 (+/-.003) shafts, and do some bareshaft tuning, cut it myself, add on the insert the point, and fletch it myself but NO idea where to buy it from, do I need to buy them with the nock or can I buy it somewhere without a nock and buy the nocks myself??

Everywhere seems to be selling the (+/-.006) shafts can someone help?

Adam,  I think you are looking at too stiff of a shaft!!  
You will get better answers on the Pow Wow though,  that's the best place for equipment questions.

Ahh ok Ill repost on the pow wow section ! do you think? I am purely going on the charts that gold tip suggest, and followed the stages, and a bow of that draw weight and length (+1.5 inches for safety) would fall under a 400

I guess a lot would be based on the weight of thie tip use choose.  However, I'm with Arne on this one I think you would be better with the 3555 at least.

My guess is the 35/55's MIGHT work, probably full length, with lots of weight up front. You might find 15/35's closer. Important to realize 15/35, or 35/55, is not an actual spine measurement. Don't remember the specific post, but "Flying Dutchman" addressed this recently to another post, and included the actual spine of, I think, a 35/55... it was way higher than we usually think.

Will also depend on how close to center your bow is cut.I'd look up that post, or a chart with actual spine comparisons... or talk to one of the sponsors here who handle carbons.

Yeah, you'll be in real trouble with .400s. I would guess a .500 full length, with at least 200gr. up front.

Hey archeradam,
Big jims on here gets them blems at a really good deal, they come with the inserts and nocks. When your bareshaft tuning, glue or epoxy the insert and remove the nock and cut from that end, sand down the cut end with some 200 grit.

I also have a praire pred, 57" 52#@28. I can shoot 35/55 29" with 145 up front. I also used my 55/75's 29" 145grn up front and they both fly really well. Mikes bows are something else. They can shoot a wide range of arrows. The 55/75 arent that much heavier but are stiffer, but they do perform well. I tried heritages 90 and they were way to weak, had to cut em down to 27 1/4" and just put 145 field points for practice. I draw to 27".

 These actually worked out great because i can use them like moebow does when working on form.
I bare shaft tune them and use 4"parabolic feathers. Good luck.
