Possible Shooting Clinic in Missouri
« on: January 08, 2014, 10:40:00 PM »
I am trying to gauge the interest in holding a shooting clinic in Missouri.  I talked to Joel Turner about holding a class here.  Most likely it would be in the Kansas City area. The cost is $150/person for a one day shooting clinic with one on one instruction.  How many of you would be interested enough to commit to a class sometime this spring?  Joel said he would need 9-12 people to justify making the trip to down from his home state of Washington. If I can get enough individuals to commit we could set up the date so we can get an exact number.

Thanks,

Chris

Chris,

Thanks for posting the clinic offer.  I just want folks to know a bit about it.  It is a clinic totally dedicated to shot control.  I will teach the archer not only what to concentrate on, but more importantly, HOW to concentrate under stress.  You will leave this clinic with a complete plan on HOW to shoot a perfect arrow under stress.  You will have control of your shot and a robust way to continue that control for the rest of your archery career.  Those that are dealing with target panic (nearly every archer) will benefit greatly from this clinic.

Thanks,

JT

I'm in. I live 3 hours from KC and would love to attend this clinic.  Keep me informed but I am in for sure.

OK I think I have 7 people who are in at this point.  I would like to round up a few more so we can have a solid number of people to attend in case a few have to back out at the last minute.
So I'm bumping this back up.

Another update... I've sent out an email to both Three Trails and Prairie Traditional Clubs here in the KC area to see if I can get some other folks to sign up.  Hopefully we can get closer to our numbers with their help. I offered either one of the clubs to host the event.  If they are not interested then my thoughts would be to hold it in the Platte Falls Conservation Area Archery Range.

Any preference on dates?  Certainly Joel Turner would have the final say but I'm thinking March, April, or May?

I have the 1st and 2nd of March available.  Would that be agreeable with your folks?

So I have commitments from Rodmaker, KCcattrapr, Quail, Goinoldskool, and Bowitis.

With myself and my brother that brings this up to 7.  Anyone else interested?

At this time I haven't got enough responses to book Joel for March. So I'm going to delay this clinic until I get enough participants. If you want to do this give me shout so we can get this scheduled for later this spring.
