Nice bow!
Looks like very nice form to me!

I know what I am about to say is opinion, and perhaps not a popular one.  I developed severe shoulder issues in my right shoulder from an incident unrelated to archery, but archery definitely aggravated it to the point where I had to switch to LH to stay in archery (and it's been tough because I am right eye dominant)

A recommendation made to me by a couple of certified coaches and a doctor who was a life long archer was to not draw the bow while raising it.  It's very popular and effective to do so while hunting, but it forces you to use your shoulder in a way that can be rough on it.  When trying to pull while raising think about the direction the string is going.  There are no muscles back (and up) there so you are torquing in your shoulder.  Raise the bow then draw.  You are then drawing straight back in alignment with muscles/bone.

Based on this video you must be a very good shot though!

G-S,

As Colin says, looking pretty good.  Not much I'd change just looking at this ONE view.

Also, as he suggests, I'd ask where you feel the bow weight at full draw?  Is it up across the top of the back of your  shoulders (near the base of the neck), or is it down your back farther near the bottom tips of your shoulder blades?

If you're shooting well and are not getting "stress pains" at the base of your neck, DO NOT change.  If you are getting stress at the base of your neck then a more downward drawing motion will help you get the "power" lower in your back.

To say more would require a video from behind and elevated (looking down) so we can see your alignment.

Press on, looking pretty good.

right on thanks guys  :)

ceme i know what you mean, the front/top of my shoulder get's inflamed after about 125 shots, but i managed to get about 200 in yesterday by breaking it up morning, midday and evening.

I'll definitely try the raise then draw today/tomorrow, i also have a past shoulder injury, mine from weightlifting, so I'll be especially careful from now on.

Arne - I'd say i feel the tension right in the middle of my shoulder blades (as evidenced by the knots i have this morning from shooting 200 arrows lol)

i took a video last night, same angle shooting at 15 yards, was able to get 3 back to back bullseyes.  really been trying to focus on the vertical lime during draw with my bow arm, pulling my shoulder blades together, and coming to second anchor and steadying my now arm after the shot. really enjoying the art now  :)

"pulling my shoulder blades together"

Not something you really want to do.  YES, I know that that is a common "theory" but doing that destabilizes your bow arm and shoulder.  You want the bow arm/shoulder static (bow arm and shoulder don't move once the bow is lifted for the shot).  But IF you try to "squeeze" the shoulder blades together, your bow shoulder will move to the rear.

The only shoulder blade movement ideally will be only on the string (drawing)side.  This is a recommendation as made in the NTS and others will disagree so you will have to do what you have to do.  But it is what I'd have you trying if we were working together in person.

i guess i wasn't thinking that specifically, butt looking back i thunk my best shots were when i was pulling with the right shoulder blade, as you're prescribing, and my bow ATM remains static. i did notice in another video where i miss greatly to the left and up, and my bow arm sightly skins backward on release, and this makes sense from what you're saying. I'll be more aware going forward and see how focusing on keeping musculature tension to the right scapula affects my consistency  :)  awesome advice  thank you again  :)

Oddly enough my injury occurred in my early 20's while lifting weights.  Good luck.  Life is long, run it like a marathon

Listen to Coach Arne.  Watch his "rubber band" video on youtube "themoebow1" channel, to make sure you are drawing with your torso and not just your arm.  It will save you a lot of stress on your bicep.  Anyway...form looks good to me!
