Shootin little high and little left ... Left handed shooting
« on: March 02, 2014, 01:39:00 PM »
I'm left eye dominant and have been shootin right handed since I picked up a trad bow (5 yrs)... well, I acquired a left handed 40# Kodiak hunter and have been shootin from 6-8 ft getting my form and building muscle,etc.. In the past day or so I stepped back to 10- 12 yds or so and notice my groups are mostly 3" high and 2" to the left ,consistently.. Is it something I'm doing or not doing? What is attributing to this? Any suggestions will help, thanks

gbh,

Pretty hard to tell without seeing.  A small collapse at release MIGHT cause the bow hand to move to the left, causing the arrow to move left.

As far as the "highs" go, that is most often just getting your sight picture calibrated.  Although it MAY be a dropping string hand (snapping down).

Just have to see to be sure.
