JB,

On the right track but a couple refinements are in order.

First, you are lifting too high to start the draw.  Lift bow hand, arrow and string hand only as high as your nose (certainly no higher than the eyes).  KEEP THE ARROW LEVEL TO THE GROUND!!!  Right now you are "skying it" and lifting way too high.  The motion is essentially correct but starting that high, you are engaging your Lats (under your arm and down the SIDE of your ribs) rather than the traps and rhomboids  in your back.  Think, "around the tree"(spine) and NOT "over the hill" (elbow moving over the shoulder).

Second, Look at your back view video.  See how you lower your bow arm to acquire the target?  Look at the angle made by your bow arm and spine.  It is pretty important to keep that angle at 90 degrees (square).  Draw level on the horizon,  THEN bend at the waist to set your aim BUT MAINTAIN that 90 Degree angle!!!!

Yes, getting the target at shoulder level will help with learning the bow arm position but if that's not possible, then draw level and bend at the waist.

Don't shoot so far as you are learning.  You can start at 5 feet then move back as you improve.  If you are having trouble hitting the target, then do not shoot at a bull's eye for a while.  Just use it to catch arrows until you get comfortable with shot execution.

My groupings are decent at 15 yards, if I were to shoot at 5' I'd destroy all my arrows at least the ones that didn't shoot thru the target, hehe. I need to get some better targets, presently I'm shooting into bricks of peat moss wrapped in plastic wrap(to help keep the peat moss in from repeated holes in package) at 15 yards I still have the occasional shoot thru. I've always had decent hand and eye coordination, I play pool, throw darts, sight in guns for friends, ect ect. I'm just trying to get rid of bad habits before they have a chance to form. Now that ww are playing with my form my groupings have gotten a lil wider, but I was expecting that. It happens to people when you break apart their self learned form, it happens a lot when I start teaching people proper stance and stroke on the billiards table  :)

Don't worry about grouping at 5' Just point at a different spot, or even better just shoot one, take a step forward, pull it and shoot the same one again and again.

I do this in my garage where I only have a few feet of space. I have a bag target hanging from the ceiling and at that distance I don't worry about poking holes in the wall behind it.
