Well I was starting to think the fact that I hadn't seen any deer yet was something I was doing wrong. But this morning I had a doe and a forkhorn within 20-25 yards of me on the ground. I drew on the buck but let down, he was probably closer to 25 and I'm just not comfortable shooting that far yet. Oh well confidence restored and a good show to boot. That's a pretty good day.

Start practicing at 35 - 40 yds. Makes 25 yd shot pretty easy.

My hats off to ya for gettting close and more important, knowing your effective range. Takes alot of disipline to let one walk after all the time and effort it takes to get close.

Good job on making the decision not to shoot, sounds like a wonderful day afield.
