I took Rod Jenkin's clinic about a year ago. Those of you who have also attended one know Rod is clear you can't become a world class shooter in 2 days so it is the practice you put in after his clinic that is the key.
I am just putting in writing that today I went back to the blank bail. Pulled out all my notes and Rod's handout and read everything. Going to blank bail from tonight for at least 3 weeks. Then going to set up a Bridge starting at 5 yards going to 25 hopefully.
This should mean that by early June I am flinging arrows at the new 3D targets I picked up from Big Jim at KY TradFest! I will be ready for Compton Rendezvous for sure.
This is not really a follow along thread just declaring my intentions and will put up a update once a week or so. That way if I fail or miss a lot of days you can give me a hard time and call me lazy! (haha)
Any and all feedback is welcome for sure.
Bow of choice for my training will be a Fox Triple Crown 66" and 38#@29". Phenolic/Cocobolo riser, Yew core with carbon lamination, black glass on back and yew on belly (no veneer). Smooth as silk!
April 29 Day 1: Set up blank bail. 10 reps of foot placement, bow hand and string hand. Looking good but I think anchor, expansion and conclusion is where I need most focus.
More to come...
