shooting form wrong maybe?
« on: August 29, 2015, 08:04:00 PM »
I went to the local 3d range and had a friend come with me and he took pictures of me and I noticed my draw arm isnt in line really with the rest of my body but I am anchored in the corner of my mouth like I have been told and have read so do I pick a anchor point farther back or let well enough alone. I have a 34 inch draw when I anchor in the corner of my mouth. any info you could give would be great and thank in advance

strech2,

How tall are you?  34" is a LENGTHY draw length!

Yes, your string arm is way out of alignment in this picture but you are really "hunched" over too.  It does appear in this picture that you are already pulling too far back (hand well behind your ear).

With just this one picture, it is hard to tell what is happening but just pulling your anchor hand back farther is not the answer.

Best I can offer for now is to refer you to my videos  https://www.youtube.com/user/TheMoebow1/videos

Take a look at them and see if they give you any ideas to try.  If in fact you are already at 34" draw length, you will find that getting arrows long enough will be a problem.

A video, face to face, or more pictures will help.

Thanks for response so I am a big fella at 6" 6" and have long arms and long hands. with my fingers curled I am putting my middle finger in the corner of my mouth and the arrow thing is not to big of deal cause I usually make my own wood ones. I will try and get more pics. and see if that helps
