brace height

recently bought a bear black panther hunter,it is 52 amo 40#/45# @ 28". my ? is i got a 48"ff string for it 8 5/8 brace height getting alot of twang out of the bow,should i have gotten a 49" string and twisted it from there,have tried seaveral diffrent arrows and 2018s seem to shoot the best. thank you jody

Ditch the Fast Flight, go with a B-50 or you could damage the tips.
I would start at about 7.5" and twist up from there to find the quietest spot. I would recommend a Flemish twist string but any endless loop will work fine as well.
