Listening to a recent The Push Podcast I heard the suggestion to get an official NASP target face and score your first ten arrows of each session as a way of measuring your shooting and over time determine if you were improving. I got one and decided to shoot 2 arrows at 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 yards and record the scores. I numbered rocks with those yardages and pull a number out of a can before each shot to keep the distances totally random. It is kind of fun and definitely tells you something about your shooting not only on a particular day but its direction over time.
