I'm certainly no authority, but I think you're correct. Tuning for crawling and walking can be a bit of a "black art" from what I've tinkered with it. If you think about it, you're basically shortening the "power stroke" as the arrow is not nocked at anchor, but closer to the riser up the string, albeit not much. When I use a crawl it's not more than about 3/8ths inch or less and I can get acceptable bare shaft flight with my even tiller and nock set without having to re-tune. If I crawl more than that all bets are off, but my eye/shaft alignment goes "south" in a hurry anyway. I prefer a 6 o'clock hold to the spot, I'm more steady with everything in my periphery. True "spot on" where the tip obscures the spot will cause me to tense up and bring on the yips (aka TP)
