Barbecue Venison Speedies
« on: March 30, 2003, 09:06:00 PM »
I got this recipe published in the 1992 NRA Members Wild Game Cookbook. Give it a try and let me know what ya think.
 3lbs.Venison
1/4 cup pure virgin olive oil
2cps.zesty Italian salad dressing
1tbs.steak sauce
1tbs.soy sauce
1 splash hot sauce(optional)
1/2tsp.dried basil
1/2tsp. crushed thyme
1/2tsp. dried parsley

Mix all ingredients except venison in a large mixing bowl, blend with a hand wisp and set aside.
Cut venison into three inch strips, about one inch thick.
Place venison strips into marinade and refrigerate, covered, for one hour. After one hour, remove directly from marinade and place onto hot barbecue grill, turning pieces frequently.
Remove speedies when they are medium rare. This is essential or meat will become tough.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
  ENJOY!!
I reckon so
