VENISON CAMP SPECIAL
« on: August 13, 2006, 06:39:00 PM »
We usually camp out most every weekend in October and bow hunt, We don't liketo spend a buncyh of time cooking and definately don't want to bother with it after you get back from hunt at night. One of our favorite meals and easy to prepare is as follows.

You will need to get a reynolds wrap foil bags, they are called "HOT BAGS"
Into this place a loin or ham can be cut up or left whole. We add potatoes cut into 1/4, some green peppers, and 1 bottle of Itilian salad dressing.  salt & Pepper, Seal up bag

We then place on one of the real small webber grills over hot coals , we leave for our stands, when we get back at dark (3-4 hours later) theres usually a fight to get it opened up, everything you need is in there except a cold drink

Meals like these make camp life a lot more enjoyable. As you said after the hunt most people are dog tired and there just may be a critter that needs dressing before you turn in.  :)
