that is a good looking scrofa scrofa Black Gold.
The biggest I ever killed everyone thought was just over 200 well it took 3 guys to get him on the meat pole and he made 170 pounds of boned out(except for the hams) meat. From my calculations a hog that makes that much boned and trimmed meat is WELL over 300.
Mine had a full but short black coat, My biggest regret in my hog hunting carreer is that his head was stolen from the taxidermist. He had an enormous head and full almost damage free ears and 3 inch cutters(above the gum line) and whetters over 2".
The average hog I killed in California was 75 pounds. Grillers I called them. I could have killed some brutes out there but I was more interested in the good eating size ones.
It is curious that physical courage should be so common in the world and moral courage so rare. ~Mark Twain
