I have actually called in dozens of water buffalo, it dosn't always work, but it works TO well some of the time. In fact if you see the photo of Cory and his water buff at the top of this page we did a LOT of calling on it, not to get it any closer, but to get it to turn broadside to Cory instead of staring him down at 17 yards!

Rick,  I didn't think that anyone actually did that;  that's an awesome story!  here I thought I was making a joke and it turns out the joke is on me.  :)   I'm not sure I would have liked to been there; I'll stick with calling turkeys, and other critters that can't crush me with one foot!  :)

Kenneth, I don't know that anyone does it as much as me and I found a few tricks to throw in to try to get that shot for bowhunters. Once I called in a pack of dingos by accident while working on a bull!

I have never heard a water buffalo but

It must be pretty similar

We try to make the sound of a young in detress

and sometimes it works
