broadheads and river cane question
« on: November 28, 2007, 05:14:00 PM »
Is it possible, does someone have a tutorial, for mounting tapered glue on type broadheads on to river cane?
I want to know if it can be done and how.

I mounted some field points on some bamboo , just taper the end and glue away . I would choose shaft diameter carefully and spin test after mounting :0) Drew

First, plug the cane with a wood dowel.  Then taper using a sander.

The pencil sharpener type taper tools don't work well on cane or bamboo.

Glue on point like any other wood arrow.
