Thanks to all the Tradgangers who have donated components for the arrows that I make for the Cub and Boy Scouts. These are the first that I've made with rose shoots. I was going to straighten them a little more but my 3 sons, all scouts told me that they looked cool like that. The kids love things primitive. The more primitive the better. So here are some pics.I split and grind all of the feathers by hand. I buy hand knapped arrowheads that are rough and pressure flake them to finish them off. Everything is lashed with artificial sinew. I know its not total trad but I am a Den leader and the Cubmaster. A guy only has so much time. Thanks again for everything and drop me a pm if you have anything that you think I might be able to use. Thanks for supporting scouting. It is a great program. Brian

Very cool, Brian. They look great. Kudos to you and all who helped you out. Several of my close friends growing up were Eagle Scouts and it is a regret of mine that I never got involved in scouting. Keep up the great work.

Impressive my friend! Makes me wanna join the scouts... :D
All joking aside, I am planning on using rose shoots next year, so we should harvest a bunch soon after the army of orange leaves the woods.
Again, nice work. Im sure that any scout will hold on to those forever...
