sharpen simmons broadheads

I ust got a early gift and cant seem to get them sharp.  :banghead:   shoot great at target but will not hunt with them in the same dull condition. what is the easiest way to get them sharp? I have tried my smith diamond set but whatever the angle is it does not match up. bastard file is hard too.. I have seen them shaving sharp but cant get anyone to fess up their "SECRETS" to sharpening... please help.  :pray:

I use the little wheelie sharpener that Simmons sells,it's like 7 dollars or so..& works as good as anything out there....here's a link to it...

Wheelie sharpener is the only way to go!!  It works great!!

The Steel Master sharpening system from Simmons will give you the edge you're looking for and is easy to use...

I have sharpened them many times with a Lil Shaver broadhead sharpener and was able to shave hair off my arm in just a few minutes. It leaves a nice filed edge not a raked edge like the Wheelie sharpener does.IMHO.

I use the Lansky sharpening system on my landsharks and tigersharks. Get the serrated stoned though because the concave blade design the flats will work they are just a little tricky on the corners. If you are using the landsharks go with the 25 degree angle and 30 on the others. The others have about a 42-45 Degree angle and need to get at least to 30 to get that thing like a razor. If you hold the broadhead flat away from you the left blade has a steeper angle than the one on the right. You can start with a flat file then go to the Lansky to finish up.

I 2nd the steelmaster sharpener. Costs alot more than the wheelie. For the price try the wheelie 1st.

Just out of interest, the wheelie sharpener also works like a CHARM on Zwickey 2/4 blade heads.
For Simmons I just use the Wheelie (4 hard strokes & then 5 really light strokes per side) followed by a crock-stick. Arm-baring sharp in about a minute flat.

The Steel Master is all I use on my 190 gr. Simmons Interceptors.  They pop hair!
