It is sad when you are a new Broadhead collector. You don't have anything to trade for heads you want!If other collectors don't want to sell heads what do we do??

Watch yard sales, estate sales are the best. Check older sporting goods stores for old stock. Talk to other members in your local club or other shooters when you attend a shoot. They don't have to be the older members as the younger folks may have inherited their grandfathers equipment. Place an ad in your local newspaper asking for archery equipment. Fishing, knife, and gun collectors also run into archery stuff. Gun shows can be a surprise also. Trading stock can be harder to get than a single head for your collection.
Treat this hobby the same as a deer hunt. What fun is it if you buy a deer? The end is not necessarily the goal- it's how you get there.

There are other things to trade for Broadheads other than broadheads. I've traded everything from knives to old bows to deer antlers. Probably something else along the way too.

The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.

JW,
Why don't you send me a list of what's in your collection and I'll see if I got anything I can add to it?

John,
No problem.  As an ABCC member, it is my privalege to send along "care packages" to new members.  I try to select members that are in my state, as well as bordering states.  Others that are in the ABCC do the same.  As a matter of fact, one of my co-workers (Kevin Tierney) and ABCC member, has kicked in a few of his extra heads.
Others have done this for us when we were beginning and it is something that we enjoy doing.  If we are lucky, we gain a friend and a trading partner.  The recipient may find themselves doing this for other new members in the future.  To me, it is the spirit of what the ABCC is about.
