I kept looking at this thinking Cliff's been gone for a while now, hasn't he? Today I realized I was thinking of Floyd Eccleston. Very much in the same league and another "local" if you're from MI.
His kids are selling some of his stuff on Ebay right now here's a blurb from one of the ads.
It is time to clean house and the shop. Mom and dad (Floyd and Joney Eccleston) established The Chippew Archery Shop here in Mt Pleasant, MI back in 1940, the same year dad met Fred Bear and Frank Scott down in Detroit. Both have passed away, the shop is still operating but it is time to liquidate some of the collectibales. For those of you who did not know dad, he started in archery in 1939 and was inducted into The National Archery Hall of Fame in 1999 along with friends Dick Lattimer and Tom Jennings. You are bidding on 2 Bear Archery catalogs from the Grayling era, 1973 and 1974. Both copies are in great shape. The 1973 issue has holes punched for a binder and is also a commorative issue. A nice addition to your catalog collection of Bear Archery. Thanks for looking. PLEASE NOTE**** There will be a new Fred Bear item available shortly. Please e-mail me for details. I will be offering more items on a daily basis including signed arrows, P&Y photos, Grumley bows, vintage Grayling items, early NFAA items, magazines, etc. Many of you have been here to the shop. Feel free to e-mail me with inquiries as to what is available.
