Bitzenburger longbow
« on: July 19, 2005, 12:20:00 AM »
I have a Bitzenburger longbow that I am searching for information.
Bow is wooden 73" long
Grip is 4" appears to be pigskin.
Top limb from grip to end is 35"
Bottom limb from grip to end is 34"
Top grip has number 38 stamped in wood
Bottom grip has number 8 stamped in wood
There is a decal/logo on bow that says Bitzenburger
I would appreciate any comments about history. Before about 1986 when I obtained in a trade. Now hanging on wall for decor and no plan to sell but would appreciate value estimates.
E-mail my AOL address.
Thanks
Jerry

Go to Archeryarchives.com and click on wood bows.
There are some Bitzenburger bows there.
