Brace height for a kodiak hunter
« on: June 09, 2006, 10:10:00 AM »
I have a 1968 Kodiak hunter (see other thread) Could anyone tell me what the tolerances for brace-height are, please? At the moment, it's braced to 9 1/2" to the throat of the grip, but this seems waaaay to high to me. It's fitted with the string that the bow arrived with & I'm sure it could do with a longer string.

I think that bow ahould brace about 8", but from there you need to tune up or down to tune it in

The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.
