Another Old Arrow

This is another one of the arrows my dad gave me when I visited last summer. It was made by his friend, Bob Copeman, in 1953, when the two of them used to shoot tournaments together. It is quite small, 57cm (22 1/2") long, 59.3cm (23 3/8") overall length, with a slight barrel taper - 7mm (9/32") at the center and 6mm (8/32") at the tips. It also has a four-point hardwood footing. The fletchings are turkey, 6.5cm (3 5/8") long. The nock is plastic, and way too small for my bowstrings! It is a different style of arrow, made for a very different purpose, and in a very different way, than the arrows I make, but it makes a nice addition to my old-arrow collection

This should be a FLIGHT arrow. It's short because it most likely was shot out of a short but high power recurve. Barrel taper was common with them. Quite large fletching though.
