Tests on new limbs
«
on:

I did some tests this morning: 9 GPP on shooting machine
Recurve 54" Foam and Carbon 69.5# @ 28" 625 Grain.= 197-198 fps
Recurve 56" Foam and Fiberglass 56# @ 28" 504 grain.= 195-196 fps
Shawnee Dakota LB 58" Foam and Carbon Limbs 52# @ 28" 468 grains= 195-196 fps
Shawnee Dakota LB 56" Foam and Carbon Limbs 63.5# @ 28" 571 Grain= 196-197 fps carbon and foam
Carbon doesn't do as good on the recurve limbs as it does on the longbow.

Pretty encouraging Bob! Even at less poundage it is impressive. Looking forward to getting my hands on the new Morrison!

Let it up to you to find a new core material! Neat! Good of you to take time to share such honest reports!
I guess my riser won't take the L.B. limbs, huh?

Hey Bob, You made me a believer a long time ago. When you get an idea people sit back to listen! Can't wait to get my new set of Dakotas to test them for penetration on Texas hogs

Doc, nothing new about the core material. It has been in ILF limbs for a long time. What is new is someone building the limbs with those materials specifically for a hunting riser and not using preexisting limbs.
Bob how do those numbers compare to your bamboo cores?

Jeff, We will be starting your limb next week. JC's will be shipped next week.
13, The foam core alone gained 5-7 fps and is quieter than actionboo. Carbon backing on the foam core Longbow limbs 8-10 over the actionboo and fiberglass. I don't think you have seen foam core in a longbow limb...
