Need help getting value of a bow
« on: February 04, 2008, 01:26:00 AM »
Hello All,

I know this may be impossible (or extremely hard) to determine, but I recently received a recurve bow on trade and wanted to determine the value (to see how bad I made out ). There's a "stamp" on there that says "White-Tailed Hawk Hunter" and it has the following numbes on the side: TD33161. I was told it is about 15 years old and was made by Bob McLean (or McClain or McLain) who ever that happens to be. Has osage wood inlays. 70 pound pull at 30 inches and is 60 inches in over all length.

Bow is in extremely good shape. I am going to polish out the few scratches. Here are two pics:

Any idea on how much it is worth? My apologies if this kind of question is not allowed here.
