Most collectors will tell you that the white tips are the most collectible. If I am correct, these were the first year of the TD limbs, 1970. In 1971 the red tips came out at the same time the Magnesium risers made their debut.
Some of us associate the white tips with the original wood risers and the red tips with the magnesium risers, although they are inter changeable. I think the blue tips are more associated with the Bear Victor Comptomter bows. That was when Victor bought Bear Archery from the Kidde ompany. The green tips were known as the Gainesville era limbs.
In any case white, red, blue, green, Black and white will all fit on any of the Takedowns regardles of which era they are from.
As far as collectability goes, condition of the limbs will also effect the value.
