Orange aid
« on: December 02, 2007, 10:36:00 AM »
Yesterday i went out and tried to use the guy's that were out gun hunting to my advantage. Had a close call with three deer but no shot. Normally i set up to intercept them to and from bedding or feeding areas. But for the heck of it i tried to sit were i would if i were gun hunting escape routes only closer than normal. Has anyone had any success with this kind of strategy.

That type of set up has worked for me in the past. Though it is a tough time when the deer are in escape mode.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Yesterday I set up in on an escape route/funnel and the orange brigade sent 3 does right past me.  As Jerry said, it is hard to get a shot when they are in escape mode!

I was unable to get a shot, even though they were only 8-15 yards away.  The does were all hell bent on getting to safer ground.
