GOT MY $120.00's WORTH
« on: June 30, 2008, 08:46:00 AM »
If y'all remember a while back there was a '59 "Kodiak Supreme" (Kodiak Special) up on e8ay and it was described as haveing three small holes in the riser.  This triggered a discussion of the Bear display bows.

Well, I bid $100.00 on it as first bidder, and there were no other bids.  I got it for that and $20.00 shipping.

When I got back from vacation it was in.

I am a happy camper.  It is very solid with the nornal bumps and bruises, but overall in very good condition, including the finish.  It does have the three tiny holes in the riser and is definitely a display bow.  Factory second? Don't see anything that would make it that.  It came without a string.  When I get home today  I will gingerly try to string it and test it out.

Long story short - I bought another pig in a poke, and got another good pig.

I am what you call "Technologically Challenged"

Can't post pictures.  Never could.  Wish I could, but cain't.

First I would have to take a picture - Challenge number one.

Then I would have to post it - Challenge numbeer two.

Best I can do is:  E8ay   Item number: 250255337301

You will see that I got the prices wrong.

Item   $95.00

Shipping  $25.00

Same total though $120.00

Some of the display models were a bit shorter then marked....a 66" model may have been cut to short from noc to noc and would end up say 65"...rather then to sell them as blems....they became Display models.....some are stamped Display....but some are stamped Display Only....I suspect the ones marked Display Only were the blemished models and may not have been shooters ???????? bowdoc

I will try it with a 66" string and go from there.
