Ron Nelson Northstar Value???
« on: July 17, 2008, 04:53:00 PM »
Could anyone possibly give me a rough idea as to a valuation on a Northstar recurve? I know that Ron's website is closed down & I don't want to bother him with a trivial phone call.

The bow is a Northstar, not a Bighorn. It's 62" & marked as 62#@28" As new condition, what looks to be curly maple limbs, single stripe riser with the sidemount quiver inserts. The bow is unmarked.

If someone could let me know what these bows retail for, it would give me at least a guideline. I know a valuaton is impossible, I'm just after a rough idea of a tade value on the bow. I'd like to trade it for a longbow if possible, but I don't have a clue whether I'm gonna be looking for an old, beaten up cheapo or a new Morrison!

I had Ron make me one in 2005 and I believe I paid $700 for it.
