Age a Stout (80 @ 28) Damon Howatt Hunter?
« on: July 28, 2008, 10:32:00 AM »
Hey guys.  Just picked up a Damon Howatt Hunter at an auction with the following markings.

80 @ 28
HH 0352
AMO 62"

Just wondering if anybody can tell me how old this bow is?

It had old cloth camo tape and  flat black spray paint applied to it surface.  A little WD 40, some super fine steel wool and a couple coats of widow wax and she looks brand new.  It has black glass front and back with wood veneers on both sides of the limb tips.  It is a beautiful light brown wood in the riser with an accent stripe up the middle.

It also had a bear quiver attached to it.  It has a green fiberglass hood with a painted on yellow bear emblem, wire frame, the upper rubber coated wire that just went around the upper limb and the lower mount bolted into the stabilizer insert.  Looks like an early rendition of a QD quiver as you didn't have to drill holes in the bow to mount it.

A second TD 3 pc bow was also in the package.  I haven't taken the paint off it yet but it is marked 78 @ 28.

Howattman or Larry Hatfield is a good bet for this ID    :scared:
